Nylon Netting for Ghillie Suit
Hello everyone,
I plan on constructing a ghillie suit and I've gathered several of materials required to do so, but I'm having a difficult time finding Nylon netting. I've checked every home improvement store I can think of (either online or in person), but the only netting they seem to have is bird netting. I have found a couple of smaller retailers that do stock rolls of nylon netting, but they are 50 yards long and several hundred dollars. I have also checked several retailers outside of Canada, and while they do have what I'm looking for, I'm a bit hesitant to buy it online because in most cases the cost of shipping is outrageous and not worth the investment. Does anyone know of any local retailer(s) that might sell this seemingly elusive material? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, EJ

You can buy nylon netting of varying hole sizes by the square meter at pretty much any fabric store ie lens mill, fabricland etc

Get a voleyball net and cut it.
If you need tighter net, overlap the voleyball net. For the hood, you can use a net laundry bag. I made one using this. You just have to cut it and keep one corner of the bag. Sew that to the BDU colar and voila.

Fish nets are popular 10 x 10 $39.95 and we also have the Laundry nets $9.95 here. of course you could cheat and buy a ready made one here, saves a lot of time. $99.95 Just be advised that there have been several remarks made by customers visiting the store. It's nice and sunny and warm in Port Credit this week and we have been noticing an increase of scantly clad women in the Village. I don't know if some kind of an Anti-Terrorist defence system the village has deployed, but please keep an eye on them just to be safe. Cheers Last edited by Armyissue; April 29th, 2015 at 13:19.. |

Thanks for all the responses.
I will be sure to stop by Port Credit in the near future to meet some of these women. Oh, and to get some netting too, I guess.
