Bolle T-800
Where would be the best place to find a pair of these goggles?

so whats up with Bolle's? I hear everyone loves them? But from what I can see the ESS NVGs line seem to have way better specs on them, what do people specifically like about the 800s?

Bolle's have a rubber rim, no need for sponge which can tear and absorb facestink. I think they're also a bit smaller so they fit more helmets. The bolles don't have thin sponge over the upper and lower vents. Just a thin air gap which ventilates quite well.
I'm not sure if the ESS goggles have better specs. They're both ballistic goggles with similar stoppage ratings I think.

Bolle 800s, like Max says, has the soft rubber face seal, which is VERY comfortable, much more so than open cell foam found on most goggles. I find the open cell foam actually feels like sandpaper on face. The 800s I can wear for 6-8 hours no problem.
Other thing about the 800s is that they are low profile, making it very easy to get a cheek weld on a sniper rifle to look through the scope. Dunno about the other goggles you mention, but I just wanted to add my bit about the 800s. |

I have both a pair of ESS thermal goggles and a pair of Bolle 800.
I wear glasses.. and the Bolle 800 are desigend to fit over glasses, They are very comfortable.. and don't fog up ... much. The soft rubber is more comfrotable than the open cell foam around the ESS goggles... and they are light, low profile and fit very well with the Bolle "tactical" helmet. Like they were made to... The ESS Thermals.. are larger.. so face shots have a greater chance of hitting goggle when wearing them..

I also have the t800, theyre not only comfortable, but they look very sleek, not like scuba diving goggles.lol the thing is between the goggle and the rubber protection for your face, theres empty space, which allows the flow of air through and out.

Does anybody has those http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...0And%20Glasses ? Are they too big so they rest against the stock? They are the exact same prise as the 800. Any feedback would be appreciated.

yea thanks guys! I was initially worried that, being more compact around the eyes, the Bolle's would form suction pain rings around the eyes (like swimming goggles), but apparently that's not the case. My mind has been officially changed, thanks!

How about a supplier for the prescription lense adapter? I'va alreadt bought, and sold, several pairs of 800's while trying to find an RX adapter. Unfortunately I can not wear contacts.

Remember to use anti-fog stuff though, as it will fog a lot faster because of close proximity to your skin and less air. On the rainy/humid days I still prefer to use glasses, even though it's uncomfortable. |
