what is the best M16??

I hope this is the place to ask this question....I'm new to Airsoft and because of the changes to Canadian Gun Laws, I now can add a few weapons to my Military Collection and get the level of realism that I would like...no I do not want a clear plastic one!!

What I am looking for is a early Vietnam M16A1...not the later version with the "bird cage" flash suppressor....the "3 prong" flash suppressor is the one I'm after and I would like the best and most realistic M16A1 out there, with as much of it made from metal as possible.

Would someone kindly tell me who makes the best made M16 and if it is available in Canada???

I have a mannequin that I want to dress as a US Army Infantry Man, date line 1965....I have everything from Helmet to boots, except a really nice early style M16

Thanks in advance

PS....I am also going to need the same info on 1911A1's, Grease Guns and if there is a Paratrooper version of the M1 Carbine w/folding stock even made???

Steve

Before anyone can tell you "where or how" to acquire airsoft guns you'll need to be age verified. Look into the regional rep section of the forums to find an age verifier in your area.

The most realistic M16A1 or any M16 for that matter is made by Systema and is referred to as a PTW or "professional training weapon". They at least at one time made an A1 version. They are also compatible with almost anything real steel, so you could put whatever flash-hider, upper receiver, etc on them. They'll run you around $1,700 - $2,000 plus. Which is more than their real steel counterparts. There are other versions that are reasonable realistic for around $500 plus by companies like King Arms, Classic Army, VFC, etc, but the Systema is definitely the most realistic. Also check to see if WE makes an open bolt version. Those are pretty realistic.

I think it was WE that made a gbbr m16a1. Theyre pretty damn good in terms of performance and def the most realistic for recoil. But like all gbbrs they suffer in hot and cold conditions.

G&P has a variety of AR models from the old CAR-15, XM177, etc. Even an M1A which I think was used for a while in the Vietnam war.
