G&G CM16 stopped firing and now is unresponsive
I was playing for about 3 hours this morning and the gun was firing flawlessly. In the final game the gun made an odd grinding sound and I ejected the mag to make sure I didn't have a misfeed. I replaced the mag and when I pulled the trigger again nothing. No noise, no movement, nothing.
When I got home I opened up the gearbox and found that I had chewed my piston. I replaced it and I tried to see if I had fried some of the electronics by pulling the trigger with the motor connected but outside of the gun. The motor worked fine. I put the gearbox back in an re installed the pistol grip. Tried it again to make sure and nada. Once again, no noise, no movement nothing. Battery is charged and motor is correctly installed with polarity correct. The gun went from operating fine to unresponsive. The rifle is at least 2 years old in case that makes any difference with the components of its construction. Thoughts? |

Do the gears match up to the piston?
I had this issue once before. |

They were were fine and then not so much during gameplay this morning. I believe everything was replaced properly in the gearbox reassembly process.

Did you clean-up all the gears and made sure everything worked when outside the gun?
If you shredded a piston, chances are that a piece of it is stuck between 2 gears and prevents them from moving.

I have no idea how it happened in game or after I reassembled the gun but apparently the fourth time is a charm and the pesky anti reversal latch is back where it should be. I can't even fathom how it moved.

your motor connector spades are are disconnecting them selves when you install your pistol grip's bottum plate. when you take it off the motor's spring pushes it up and gives you the illusion of it being connected. if this is not the case then you either have a dead battery or you have -/+ mixed up in your grip, when you pull the trigger you should feel a small click. Click = dead battery or wrong polarity, no click no noise = disconnected spades.
