First load out questions

Hey first time buying my own gear for airsoft. Got tired of renting or borrowing gear off of friends. Below is what I was thinking of buying.

-ess surplus goggles
-lower mesh face guard
-ak gunner rig
-Cyma ak47
-lower spring gun shoots hot out of box according to reviews
-3 spare mags
-spare battery
-smart charger
-bb loader
-2 point sling
-surplus combat boots
-and if any one knows where to get 38pants or 3xl Camo gear let me know please.

I've read a lot of reviews on the Cyma ak and I'm likening what I hear. Been to a store and handled it and love the looks and the way it handles. All else are items I've looked into and are almost essentials from what I've read. Looking for tips / comments to help me out on anything I'm missing or should look into.
(sorry about post format in hospital ATM waiting to be an uncle)

Eyepro, boots, ammo & a gun. After that, I found this to be a useful bit of info:

Not necessary, but you may want to replace the hop up rubber, the CYMA one's are horrible. It's the cheapest way to get a noticeable increase in range and consistency.

You should also consider getting knee pads.

ArmyIssue in Mississauga sells pants.

What kind of rubber should I get? If you could link one you think would be best. Army issue is amazing getting my boots and googles from him, tho he doesn't have my size in pants but he's helping me look around for some.

Looks like a good starter kit for the most part. I find the small type mesh mask allows you to cheek the gun much better than the large type. I bought the large type first but found it was too bulky. I'm not sure that I would trust used eyepro even if they are good goggles.

I would recommend one of these rigs in either tan or green.

They don't come with pouches so it will cost you a bit more but they're adaptable and will serve you better in the long run.

Bets rubbers to look for IMO are Firefly or PDI w-hold

From the few goggles I seen there their new surplus not combat toured. I think The style of face mesh I'm looking at is the small style not the larger style. Was looking at te Molle style rigs and vest would love to buy some but can cost a lot more then I have right now. Just looking for basic rig ATM that can get me through abit and then move onto building one more my style.

If thats the case then I would say start with the mag pouches you like and put them on your belt for now. I like hsgi tacos but on a budget I would go with open top bungee retention. A belt rig is very efficient. That way you're not wasting money on something you don't really want just for the sake of having a rig. You can put that dough towards your rig later on and put the pouches on it. You probably also want to consider a dump pouch especially if you'll be using mid or low cap mags.

Get good gloves as your hands will be taking alot of hits.

Also kneepads as pestobanana suggested since you will be kneeling for cover alot and it sucks to kneel on bbs or on a pointy rock or root when outdoors.

Also a couple of other suggestions would be to get something for your neck like a shemag and something for your head. Doesn't have to be a helmet.

True never thought of headgear yet, was looking into the shemag, but it looks like every one uses it or has some type of one. Looking for something more unqiue that not every one might have.

May i suggest what i did with my first rig. I got a cheapo china clone rig it was like 30-40 bucks came with a tripple dubble stacked mag pouch a radio pouch a medkit puch admin panel and a few other bits no its not high end but it is 1000d cordura and dbl stitched one clip broke when i put it in awkwardly but i ziptied it and its fine been using it for years and its still hold8ng up.
Also face protection i find to be uncomfortable it puts alot of pressure kn mynose and cheecks i use a bandanna tho if yer gonna play indoors feacepro is a good idea.
Also id suggest more then 3 extra mags. For the price youd pay for 3 single kags you can probably buy a box set (5-7 mags) and youll use em. I carry 8 plus 1 in the gun most folks will carry 5-10 depending on capacity and rig space. Its alot easyer in game to grab some mags outta yer dump pouch or med pouch or butt/backpac thenbto spedd load mags.
Other wise id say you got a good start going.
Be sure to get the gun tested befor you start swappin the spring and such if its like 410 most folks wont give you a hard time about it 420 or more then yes change it

Was looking at a clone rig to start. Would you know where I can get a box set? Probably be better in the long run to spend the extra money get a box and not kinda have to worry about extra mags for abit. Didn't think of gloves either :/ This is coming along nicely thanks every for input / suggestions so far.

There really isnt much different... Trust me go with the shemagh.. Theres a hundred different colours and theyre fun to pick out. Just pick which colour matches your camo the best. They range from $10-20 and now a days you can get them pretty much anywhere. i got mine at my local paintball store of all places.

They come in handy, I've been hit in the throat while wearing it.. Although it didnt do any damage since your neck is pretty strong it still HURT like a biatchacha!!!
Just make sure you pull the thing tight around your neck... Although it looks more badass hanging loose around your neck, its better to tighten it up

ANNDDDDD ALSSOOOO since your living out of mississauga (LUCKY) i would hit up ultimate airsoft.. GREAT place to play and start out too. Also a couple good airsoft stores in Toronto

Firefly rubbers are horribly overpriced, PDI W hold works just as well. For a more standard hop up setup, Prometheus soft or Guarder soft are great. My DMR actually shoots better with a Prometheus soft than PDI W hold.
