Cybergun GSG-522 PK help

So I got this given to me as a gift and I have a question about it as I am just starting with the sport. According to the box its a full metal build, has a 9.6 NiMH battery, adjustable BAXS system and fires 370-450 fps on 0.2s. Now if memory serves correct field limits are 400 fps correct? Unfortunately, I do not have access to a chrono so I can't verify the fps claims. My question, really, is how can I verify the fps without driving all over hell's half acre and not spending anything to do so? Any suggestions?

Either find a gun doctor or someone with a chrony, or don't worry about it until you go to a field where there will be a chrony.

That's quite the range of fps there... are you sure the box isn't listing two values, one for 0.12g BBs and one for 0.20g BBs?

Cybergun lists 466 fps w/0.12g and 361 fps w/ 0.20g for that model, but it may have been modified since manufacture (and/or for the Canadian market).

Won't give you the accurate result and it can tell you the approximate fps:

There are actually 2 spots that list the fps. One a sticker giving the range i posted in the op. the sticker also claims that the gun has been modified. Printed on the box it says that 0.12s are 480 fps and o.2s are 375 fps. Due to the mods sticker I opted to list the range rather than specifics

The stickers are mostly put there for import reasons id bet money that itbis closer to 370-400 range not 450 that cybergun gearset and piston wouldnt last too long over the 375 mark especially ifbits the one with plastic/nylon bushings i wouldnt sweat it too much get out to a game and chrony it worst case is its over and someone will have to loan you a gun but i doubt it the 450 would be with. .12's not 20's
470 on. .12 is 364 on. .20 just fyi so you can see the probability of the actual fps with. .20's

A photo of the sticker might help clarify, though not as much a chronograph.

I have one of these instock in my store. I can chrony it if you want? Won't necessarily be the exactly the same, but it might be a good idea of what it's shooting?

So if you look at both there is no way they opened it up and swapped the spring to make it shoot almost exactly what the original fps was, not on such an inexpensive gun.
They put those stickers on so when the customs guys look at it they see it as if it was done by the factory and they have no need to test fire 100 guns they just clear em and send em on their way to the retailer.
Its gonna shoot in the 370 range with. .20's maybe even less tho id say prolly 370 on the money ±3fps

That would be awesome!!! I would greatly appreciate that! I understand it wouldn't be an exact match from one to another, but at least it would give me some peace of mind that it will pass field requirements

Like i said, I'm new to the sport so I'd rather ask the questions before I get disappointed at the field. This way I can also get an idea of what may need to be done to downgrade it if necessary

Thats a good idea Styrak especially if it has the same labels on the box then we will a real/accurate answer for anyone who may have the same question in the future. Plus ill know if my powers of deduction are correct lol
