unidentified first gun
I am about to get this gun from a friend of a friend.
It's a tokio mauri. I am not sure what the modele is (I am not yet familiare with riffle to identify this modele) from what he told me the fps is a little low (playing outside so I would like a 370/380fps). I guess changing the spring would do it. Is there anything I should also change with this modele if I change spring? I saw some post telling that with TM you might have to also change other parts, but no parts were specify. I'll appreciate any help you can give me ![]() |

Tokio Marui is pretty solid and good quality, changing the spring should be enough. And yes is a G36C. If the gun is in good shape is a really nice choice

Bone stock they shoot 270 FPS.
I wouldn't upgrade the spring to anything more than an M110 or the gearbox might crack. It is a V3 and slightly better with stress but still I wouldn't put too much stress on it. Just run it bone stock and it'll be a reliable gun for years to come. When parts eventually start to break and wear out you should think about replacing with aftermarket stuff like Guarder or Lonex. But bone stock it's actually a decent gun.

The marui japanese line is specifically designed to run at 300fps. No more. So they are not built to handle the stress of a 380fps spring.
There are ways to get around it, notably the ARS sorbo cylinder head which allows you to run a marui V2 at 400fps. But other things may break like gears & bushings FPS mean very little when it comes to range, so just use .25g BBs and install a guarder clear hop rubber. Friend of mine has a stock marui P90, all I did was put a guarder clear rubber in it and it shot 160ft easily and fairly accurately |

TM = solid gun as long as you don't fuck with it.

got the gun, bad supprise no battery (well the 1 he had is burn...) He was using 9.6V. I ws wandering if I better try to find a 9.6v that would fit, a 8.4 (the standart for this model) or go with the new lipo7,4v ?
and where could I found them in Mtl (I hope this is not a break of the rule since it is just a battery) |

Get the GensAce batteries from Stealth http://www.airsoftstore.ca/
For a TM it's probably a good idea to run the 7.4V 1200mAh 20C battery.

If it's a stock TM:
-Don't run any more than the stock battery, 8.4v Ni-Cad/Ni-Mah, or 7.4v lipo. -Don't upgrade the spring without swapping some other parts, namely the bushings, which are nylon in stock TM guns and can't take any more than an M90 or so. -V3 mechbox is pretty solid but if you're planning on upgrading to shoot 380-ish you need to do quite a few other upgrades first. If it's not a stock gun then the only way to confirm anything is to open it up and look.

I dont think it a stock gun since the wiring for the battery as been modify, so I guess I should open it to see what is inside.
This look like a good procedure http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/lo...hp/t43274.html Last edited by yan101; February 20th, 2013 at 08:35.. |

got the 7.4 lipo battery,
the rof seem low (about the same in auto then in semi-auto). Is it normal with that model or is there something wrong with the motor? |

Not stock... High torc CA motor, metal bushing.
A couple of badly done wire... think the gun is going to need ''a little more love'' then I have expected: The piston head seal is bad, since everything else as been change, I will install a new piston. How do I chose the right number of teeth? I have a high torc motor, the rate of fire is bad so lest teeth? Last edited by yan101; February 23rd, 2013 at 11:56.. |
