cool shtuff, and i spose u can use this day or night? Swap from white hot to black hot? Color heat? I assume the arrows are for zoom?
could this be weapon mounted or its more of a monocular?

Day or night, white hot or black, doesn't bother with colour as it's just extra information that isn't needed. Arrows are used for the menu, thermal gain, and zoom. Real time at 60hz so there is no visual lag. Compatible with Wilcox amber filters to help you mask your signature at night.

For best results you use it independent of another sight on your rifle, so it becomes the primary sight on the rifle. When being used with any other sight a thermal device needs to be mounted in front. Thermal devices can't see though glass, or any object for that matter other than Germanium, hence you need to mount it in front of your red dot to get a correct co-witness between the two optics.

We tested this. Sadly farts don't show up on thermal, or at least... they are unable to exit the pant area which is already white hot. <frown>

Around 2.5K, less than a PVS-14.

Well there is also the Flir line of Scout Series which are a tad cheaper starting around 2K. They are 9hz (9 frames per second), but are legally exportable out of the US without any paperwork.

Those are the marine models which have have three colour modes: White Hot, Black Hot, and a Red version of white hot (To keep your natural dark adapted night vision). The Scout models which have the Green housings have the White/Black hot, and Flir's "InstaAlert." InstaAlert is White Hot with anything over a temperature threshold showing up as red on the screen. The ground would be black, the tree's would start being a bit white, but Deltastone's fat ass will be a bright red target.

Both models features have their ups and downs. It's still a ridiculous value for something that cost a gazillion dollars only a few years ago.
