Upgrading cyma mp5
Hello folks ,
I'm from Belgium and since there are very few good airsoftshops and mechanics around here , I'm want to get into the upgrading myself. I'm pretty sure i can upgrade my gearbox and get it back together , but any usefull links on how to do it step by step are welcome. Anyway , I was thinking of getting an Guarder FTK m120 to put in there. Are those gears that come with it any good ? Is it any good overall, and where do u lot suggest to order ? I got a 6,02 TBB in it , and an SRC metal hop-up unit. I want to have a torque up set-up , with ROFaroud 650 , using 11,1v lipo and a mosfet Thanks in advance , Grtz, Jazzman Last edited by -Jazzman-; January 15th, 2013 at 15:51.. I suggest you check out airsoftmechanics.com as they are the premier source for technical airsoft knowledge.
If you don't want to do you own research, hang on cause it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Well , its not that I don't do any research , its just that there are so many brands that I honestly can't see the trees thru the woods.
I've been looking at systema , SHS , deepfire ,... But i've read good things about Guarder. But since Belgium does not have nearly as many airsoft knowledge as you boys in the states , thats why I'm asking for some help here. Apart from that i've been reading some threads by Skruface on here , wich where very helpfull. So I did do some research myself , but as i said , help and opinions are welcome Grtz, Jazzman |

Myself i would talk to Stealth at AirsoftStore ( when he gets back in a few days) IF your trying to slow your rate of fire down through Torque up gears, it may be way easier and cost effective to use a mosfet. Generally a Mp5 is a close action gun so you don't need a huge spring for high FPS, therefore torque gears are kinda unnecessary. Cyma gearboxes usually are work horses and work for a long time stock. Some mosfets really improve trigger responce- give you 3 round bursts and prevent trigger contact arcing. hope this helps

I just bought a cyma mp5 full metal aeg and I've been reading many posts on this forum for a few days now and my question is about a sling.
I saw someone mention in a post that for certain models they would get a 1point sling and the mp5 was one of the models he mentioned but he didn't mention why. I want to get a sling as I don't have one yet ( and I haven't even played a game yet either) but I don't know the best type of sling to get. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated |

I myself have put a strap with a loop attatched around the forward section of the buttstock so I can use a one point sling( I'll add photo later) |

Thanks for the reply , I did the key ring around the bar post on the buttstock , thanks for the tip. It was a very cheap fix to my problem although it's not the best sight on the eyes it does the job
