New to Airsoft

Hey guys\gals,

Just saying Hi I currently live in Toronto and I have been paintballing for serveral years now howeveri guess as I got older I just don't have time to deal with the mess \ clean up.

The only issue I have right now is I cannot seem to find many places around my area which seem to host games or if they do its maybe on certain nights and even then it seems to be a if they decided to do it.

Anyways will be reading up on a all the tutoriasl for maintenace and a first good buy I believe a marker is all i will need as I played alot of woodsball so my molle gear should be useable still

Does anyone know if the Airsoft Show in March (read a thread on it) has good deals for equipment or should I take advantage of some of these xmas deals going on?

the show in march is a great place to check out gear and guns.
but you should get verified, that gets you access to the classifeds and retailer section on this website, A LOT of good deals to be had there.
as for games look in the "games and events" section

If you can wait till march it might not be a bad idea. The convention is a great place to check out gear and equipment, and you can get a good idea for what is comfortable for you told hold. If you find a deal on something you like, even better. Otherwise there are always deals in the ASC classifieds, and even brand new guns are a lot cheaper now than they used to be.

Also, we use airsoft guns, not "markers"

airsoft not marker lol.

out of curiosity I have been looking through the event and find there very sproadic and well they are actualyl "events."

So airsoft is not as mainstream as paintball then in ontario? Guessing there is no where to go play when you really want to.. its more of keep a look out to someone to host or cater to the airsoft crowd?

Well, it's winter and things tend to slow down a bit in the winter. Most airsoft events are outdoors, as indoor PB arenas are a) effing disgusting, and b) often too small for airsoft since airsoft guns are vastly more accurate with a higher velocity.

In the nicer weather, if you're willing to drive a bit, you'll find an airsoft game nearly every weekend. There are usually several large events (100+ people) throughout the year.

I have personal experience with both the KA M4 and the Umarex MP5 and they are both great.

Welcome ... have fun... Don't spend too much, oh and be sure to check out some games in the GTA in the coming months.

Where do you live? Even now in the off season you should be able to find a game every weekend.
