Can I expect decent accuracy with these BBs?

Hi,

I am new to airsoft in general so please bear with my lack of knowledge.

Anyways, I just purchased a new AEG a couple months ago (yet to receive it with customs taking weeks to screen it) and I knew I needed some ammo so I bought a bunch of TSD .20g biodegradable BBs. Being a newb I did not look into the matter all too well and after reading a number of topics on the subject I got the consensus that these .20g BBs I purchased would not perform very accurately with my airsoft gun (shooting around 468fps, just for target shooting, will downgrade later).

So the consensus was that I should have bought .25g BBs instead. A number of people said that .20g would only be a little less accurate while others claimed it would be very inaccurate due to the high fps of my airsoft gun.

So I was wondering, will they really not perform well, or just not as well as the .25g? I will definitely be purchasing .25g in a year or so when I finally do play on a field (want to get acquainted with the sport first).

Lastly, the TSD BBs are supposed to be of good quality (purchased from Airsoft Atlanta, not the gun) from the numerous reviews I read.

P.S. I'll try and keep the text down on future posts.

with high powered guns like that, you want .30gs at least if you want to play outdoors.

Ok, but will they work for just plain target sighting? I will be downgrading the fps by the time I play (to around 380) for outdoor use, so would .25g suit that situation?

I was using TSD .20s at one point, The hop up couldn't give them anything close to a consistent spin. I switched to bbbastards which could get a consistent hop up.

Oh boy....
You ordered an airsoft gun from outside of Canada?
You didnt look into anything befor hand did you?
I wish u luck in getting it.
The BB's you have are okay but .28's or .30's would be best for such a high power set up. even in the 375-400 range 28 or .30 work well, much beter then .20 that will be much less stable becaus ethey are so light and flyin so fast. you may even want to try some .36 if your rifle can provide enough hop up, if you get it.
The lighter bb's will be ok for targetr shoting at a short range but longer range youll notice a big diff in the heavier rounds ability to remain stable and keep your groupings tighter
Also BBBastards are prolly the best BB's around theese parts, and they are a Canadian company!!
Get Age verrified folks will be a lil more helpfull, tho i dunno with this importing on your own thing check out the FAQ's here

Hectic, sorry their must be a misunderstanding. I meant that I got the BBs from Airsoft Atlanta. The gun itself is still coming however it was purchased from a Canadian retailer (it's a G&G so it has to come from Taiwan).

Also thanks on the tip, I will definitely look into the .28/.30 BB's, likely switching brands as well.

Yer first post says customs has your gun custome wouldnt look at it if it was shipped from canada to canada, unless your retailer is having trouble importing but that seems to be a thing of the past.( unless ya got one of the 8 of 10 customs guys who is a moron when it comes to airsoft)

No, it is a Canadian retailer and he finally did receive the gun (just a few days ago, waited a month) however he said they are backed up this time of year (in Vancouver) and that it took awhile in the Que and screening.

The guy must have also been a moron because I ended up going with a slightly different model (longer barrel, ended up suiting me better) because the customs officers seized their shipment of the G&G CQB-R MAX weapons for no specified reason.
