PMAG and VFC SCAR

I have a 60rd MagPul PTS PMAG 30 that wont feed properly in my VFC SCAR-L. I have to push up and forward on the mag to get the gun to shoot BBs. Does anyone have any suggestions or required mods that would get this thing to work right. I would like to order a box of 10 of these (if I can get them to work).

are you talking about the green label pmags ? if so, they are known to be 50/50... you have 50% chance to get them not feeding lol. They are cheap...

Magpull mags and the Scar need a little dremel tool love to work... I'd just get some MAG, King arms or TM mags Airsoftparts.ca has what you'll need

Or just a strip of Velcro on the mag to hold it in tighter. Use the soft side of the Velcro. You can get strips of it with a sticky back at walmart...

file down the bb holder (I think that's what it's called) on the top of the mag. It's the thing that holds the bb's in the mag and is on a spring. Shave it down by 0.5mm to 1mm, just take some medium grit sandpaper and file it down no dremel required.

What's happening is your hopup unit isn't pushing far enough down onto the bb holder for it to release the bb's. By shaving it down the hopup doesn't have to go that far in to release.

If the above suggestions fail, try putting some electrical tape on the back end inside the magwell.

If you are using green label PMAGs, the little circular cap on the top with "60" is removable. If you turn it 90 degrees(some caps are glued in place, using a hammer to give it a light tap will break the glue), the spring will push it out enabling you to clean the inside of the magazine and the follower.

I use nothing but Magpul mags in my VFC SCAR - mostly 120 rnd PTS mags, but also a couple of 60 rnd green label units. None of them give me troubles.

I would suggest you avoid going after your rifle with any kind of tool, until you've exhausted all other attempts at solving the problem. That hop up unit is proprietary, and you don't want to do anything that would require replacing it.

Just a suggestion...
