"SOLD"

Would it be too much to ask of those that post in the Sales thread to edit the subject line to include the word "SOLD" so that I don't read THE WHOLE thread only to find out at the end, that the item is sold.

Now I know that some people edit the top original post to include sold and that helps allot. Some just add another post to the end of the thread that just says sold.

If you need instructions on how to edit the subject it's pretty simple. Just click on your ad, click on "edit" and than click on "go advanced". Go up to title and type away. This will allow you to edit your subject line.

I'm just saying that it gets frustrating when you're going through the sales threads only to find that allot of the items have already been sold.

When stuff is sold it should have banana edited into the main post, same thing as sold but better! =D

If you see banana, its sold. No need to edit in sold.

There are search functions in your browser. when you open a sales thread, search for banana or sold... now your not reading a whole post

yeah but the point is : don't write it at the END of the post...we read all the sale then we see its sold...kinda frustrating! happened to me many times

You're missing the whole point of putting the "SOLD" in the subject heading.

I wouldn't have to open a sales thread, go up to "EDIT" > "FIND" > enter "Banana or Sold" and than hit "FIND".

Why would I do that for every sales thread I want to read. It would be just as quick to just scroll through the whole post.

I get your point, but your not going to change others. Hell, the amount of people that will actually read this is very low.

You have to adapt to the way things are, and if you cant take 3 seconds to hit CTRL+F ->(sold or banana)->ENTER then I dont know how else to help you.

The first thing I do when looking for an item in the classifides is to scroll down to find a price and see if its sold. Its not hard to gain the habbit and I'm sure its what a lot of people do.

There's an ad in the Classifieds right now that has been posted 7 times for the same gun. So instead of bumping the ad, they just create a new one. Reading the rules is something that doesn't happen often on these forums, and for those that do, this is not directed at you so please don't post that "I DO".

Let's just say ....... it's for an ak74 or ak47. Don't know anymore cause I've been looking at both in recent days.

Every post has a report function...if that is the case REPORT it so that a staff member can take care of it.

I did understand the frustration years ago when i was new to ASC. I have adapted to remove the frustration and thus anger and stress, its not good for you! :P

I can see where you are coming from, but like I have said, people are not going to change, you have to adapt, and its only takes a few seconds to visually look for sold or banana before even reading anything else on the thread or even less time using the tools provided to you in the browser.

So report it? This shit happens because posts are NOT REPORTED. Mods dont have time to sift though the classifieds and look for this stuff. It's up to the community to report posts against the rules. This fact is encouraged in the rules thread.
