Dboys AK74U inaccuracy.

For some reason my Dboys AK74U is being very inaccurate. I know I'm new to the community, and if this is the wrong section I do apologize.

I have a Dboys AK-74U and for some reason, it's shooting horribly. The accuracy is crap. Around 2 feet as soon as it leaves the barrel it goes either left, right, straight (rare), up or down. So I was wondering if this is common and I did something stupid to it. Or I just got a bad gun.

Welcome to Dboys!

It sounds like your hop-up rubber is torn

What province are you from?

It would be best to have the gun checked out by a gun doctor that can teach you everything rather than jumping in head first without knowing alot about it.

just so you can have some info. the hop up rubber is the part that cause the bb to curve after it leaves the barrel. it's used to back spin the bb so the bb will travel farther. if it's torn, the bb will leave the barrel in an unpredictable direction.

Thank you to both of you. I am figuring that this might be the problem. I know this is airsoft Canada but I am actually from the US ^_^.

As for replacing the rubber, could either of you link me to a specific video on how to disassemble the gun to replace it? Thank-you.

Mechbox.com has detail instruction on how to disassemble your gun. be very careful and watch and read before you do any work on your gun.
