Importing from the UK
I am looking to move to Canada within the next year or so.
I have a number of airsoft rifles that I would want to bring over with me. Do I need special permission or speak to someone about it? Kimbie |

Sorry bud but you will not be able to bring your guns with you. Any gear however is ok. Suggest you sell you guns and buy locally once you are here.

did the same thing a couple years back bud - basically sell everything u can...within reason - rifles are a big no-no - they WILL get confiscated at the border whether shipped or on baggage (even if declared).
vests magazines tactical gear in general are all ok but be prepared to get the spanish inquisition (just in case lol). pretty much everything apart from ur guns themselves are gonna be ok but save urself the hassle and have them mailed to you - don't take them on ur baggage unless u want the "star" treatment at the airport like i got lol gimmi a PM if u need more info and I can fill u in on it (from bitter experience lol)

Ship the remaining stuff, don't baggage it. Look around the FAQs for a list of stuff that can't be imported, but it comes down to guns, receivers, silencers, m203s and mags with fake bullets in them.
You may keep vests, clothing, holsters, accessories and the like may be brought in, but shipping will be more discreet and cheaper. Once local, get age verified and buy back what you left behind. |

Well that just plain sucks
As I have a lot of nice guns, and due to the clone market, won't really get much for them. Might just leave them at the parents house, for when I come back to the UK Kimbie |

If you are going back it might be better. The good part is that if you plan on staying short term here, at least the guns you buy here will keep their value, so you won't get short changed when you sell them before you leave.

Oh not looking to stay short term, looking to emigrate from the UK.
What is the reason I am not able to import my rifles? Kimbie |

Various import restrictions, basically there is a few ways to bring guns in but the info is rather hard to get.
The easiest way to deal with the move airsoft wise is to start over here. Oh, and get ready for a kick in the balls as far as prices go, check the link in my sig for a market overview. |

Also depending on the part of canada you go to, you may have a larger community base, in general, they're pretty friendly, some areas just have a alrger community base than others.

Basically don't risk it especially since I assume you'll be trying for landed immigrant status and it doesn't really look good to have smuggling charges or even the appearance of anything bad like that. Ie. There is no difference between doing wrong and the appearance of wrongdoing in the eyes of the immigration board.
PS: Where in the UK are you from exactly? If you're in the South East (Specifically in/around Kent) then shoot me a PM.
