Obtaining a PTW

Doing a quick search yielded almost no results.

Anyways, my questions is very simply put; How do you obtain a Systema PTW?

Now before everyone goes off on saying "Get AV'd and check classifieds!" believe me, I'm working towards it.

But browsing some retailers sites like 007airsoft and such, I see that full metal painted guns say "Not for sale to Civilian," and "Must have valid gov't ID."

So basically, I'm joining the Forces soon, and does that make me eligible to buy a PTW?

Otherwise, let me know if its possible any other way.

Short answer is in the first post.

Long answer: Canadian "Clearsoft" retailers do not carry the PTW, and therefore you have to buy from an ASC seller.

I know of someone selling one in the classifieds "New",so when you have your AV'ed stat. it's waiting.

Simply put no. It's not for sale to individual members of the forces or LEO's.

Basically you must show that you have a "need" for such devices to the CFO in the region and get an exemption so that you can import or get someone like 007 with contacts overseas to import for you. So basically if you want to get it through that way you'll have to be like a chief of police or a commanding officer of a regiment and only use them for training purposes (ie. those devices will not leave the training areas/armoury).

AV is the best way to go really so get that sorted out. I know it can be a bit of waiting and kind of hard with conflicting schedules but it's definitely worth it IMO.

I know of someone selling one thats almost new at a very, very good price.

Don't bother contacting me until you have your AV tag.

OP: you're about an hour out from Ottawa and Petawawa. why not make the effort and attend a game where an av'er will be? where else would you play at?

btw, why have you created a new account? your old account shows activity as recent as February 2010.

Don't ask for guns outside of the classifieds.

Get out to a game or something and get AV'd.

Answer my PM about multiple accounts.
