Regular woodland or digital camo?

Just browsing some gear today and can't seem to make up my mind, wether to go with the new Navy Digital Camo or the typical Woodland camo that is everywhere.

Im assuming most of the surrounds I will be playing in will be in a forrest setting..not sure if I like the way the digital navy camo looks tho..

If you're going to be running around in the woods, go woodland. If you expect to be swabbing decks and chasing after sweaty sailors, go navy digital.

i would go for the MARPAT aka digital woodland

the normal woodland is not so good and is much easier to see than digital woodland.
btw, it just looks cool

and the navy digital camo for the forrest ist useless.

I think woodland works fine. Just judge based on the area you play in which one has the more common colors.

Well I have some recommendations,

note. I am unsure about the Hamilton/Toronto fields and what kind of vegetation is holds, weither its desert (which i am doubting), forest or a combination of both.

CADPAT: Heavy forested areas with lots of green(for me would be lower mainland).

Marpat: Combination of both (I own some, works for my area).

Multicam: Always an option, although works more in Desert type environments.

Navy Digital? : looks according to my Google image search to be way to blue. AKA wont blend in.

And there are many more camouflage patterns, look around, dont make an impulse buy, and try and find one that you like and will suite your respected enviroment that you will be playing in.

If you mean forest with lots of mossy trees/small shrubbery then CADPAT will serve you well as does Flecktarn and Woodland, really any green based camo will fit. However if you mean a forest with a lot of dead fall and brown trunks then something more brown based with a bit of green is best. For this I suggest something like MARPAT or Multicam (this one works OK in a green environment as well), another option might be some tan based camo with a more dominant brown/earthy tone like 3 colour desert but maybe a bit more brown. Also straight coyote brown is a good choice as well, similar to Olive Drab it also works well in a "Contractor" loadout too.

I only ask because its really hard to find a tactical vest that matches the camo pattern you are dressed in..

Navy Digital all the way lol (I can't wait till a Stargate team starts wearing that...it suits them (no offense)

True to what most people are saying already, take a look at what the environment looks like where you will be playing and make your decision based on that. Nothing worse than showing up at a field sticking out like a sore thumb because everyone told you to get a certain camo. In any case, you will probably own more than one set of camo eventually...

Try a coyote brown vest. I find it works well with everything, either that or OD. Honestly CB is a pretty versatile colour and for a vest it's perfect and will fit with whatever other camo you run be it a green based one or a tan based one.

I want to see the forest they thought this would work in. I guess when you have a billion soldiers, it is not so important to hide them well.

moz_boz have you seen the new chinese digital uniforms? I don't like it at all. TBH it looks kind of disgusting (and I'm Chinese) the should have stuck with what they were issuing before (flecktarn ripoff and woodland ripoff) everyone just jumped on the digital bandwagon, I actually hate digital camo partly because of that. If I were to need something like CADPAT I would rather get a set of Danish M84's.

Hell, their "tank camo" has a pattern if you look at the 60th anniversary parade the tanks have all the same paint job.
