So I think I got a deal...

Hey everyone!
So I was talking to my buddy ryan last night, and he was going to sell me his old AK barrel and a silencer. So, I offered 45 dollars, and he accepted. I got the stuff last night. He claims the barrel was 100 dollars when he got it and its 69 dollars now. He said it was some sort of TN barrel??? He said its made of titanium. The diameter of the barrel is 6.03mm. Its 455mm long. Apparently the inside is made of Teflon Nickle? The of the barrel is a graish silver colour. As for the silencer, its a Classic Army. Their are some foam inserts in it, but when I look down the silencer, I can see them. They are not in the way of the BB. Will it reduce range or anything? As I said, I bought the barrel for 35 dollars and the silencer for 10. Pics soon!

Thanks for your time!

Forgot what TN stood for but it's also known as a "TBB" (Tight Bore Barrel) and I'm pretty sure they're interchangeable. Also best to verify the inner diameter with a digital calliper.

All I can say is TN is a legitimate company; I've never handled one though; as for the silencer, it's a good one, won't reduce range, and reduces noise.

TN is one of the older premier barrel makers for airsoft if you have the titanium version you got yourself a great deal, I'm still using them in my HK51

Thanks guys. Man, what an epic deal. This guy that I bought it off of is going into the army, so he does not really have the time anymore for airsoft. Its better in my hands than his he said, because i will actually use it. Just tested out the silencer and wow, does it ever quite the gun down!!

OK Apparently I was wrong I just checked and T/N stands for Titanium Nickel (Or Titanium Nitride???).

And may or may not be the name of a company as well.

Also yes the suppressor will make the BB exiting the barrel quieter but to get rid of (minimize) the "sewing machine sound" you'll have to do gearbox work. Sorbo Pads, Shimming, and Correct Motor Height will make it even more quiet.

Sorry Mate,

Never try to check a tight bore with a caliper. This is bullshit and I know what I'm talking about it's my job :P you need to be way more accurate to ckeck a barrel who as a .01mm tolerance
