Aftermath Broxa MP5
Well I'm extremely new at this. I was trying to learn how everything works in a cheap gun before I spend my $600 on the gun I wanted. In the process I fubar everything. To make things clear, I never even got as far as opening the gearbox. This first picture shows how far I got.
Now all I did is disassemble and when I got this far I noticed I didn't have the proper sized screw driver so I put everything backl together. When I first test fired the gun a loud scretching sound appeared for the first time. So I checked everything out. The motor works fine - I've tested it in another AEG after this issue. So I think its the gearbox. Basically when I initially put the motor back in the fing gun didn't say which outlet was positive or negative. Neither did the instruction manual. Go figure *cough*. After hearing the noise I switched the connectors around and it sounds better but its almost as if the gears are turning and nothing is happening. Hence the pistol *I beleive * to be the root issue. After checking the piston I noticed its stuck in the forward position. Now again I never opened the gearbox so I'm curious as to how this happened. http://img529.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img00158.jpg Second picture is where I think the problem resides. The BB feeding area - looks like the piston head is stuck in the forward position. You can't see it to weel but I've confirmed it. http://img529.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img00159.jpg

From here it sound like your motor do not enter in the gearbox... There is a screw to push it down under your grip.

The screech was probably the sound of stripping the teeth of the motor pinion gear or the bevel gear, OR that the motor height was too high.
The motor polarity should be marked with a red or black marker beside the tabs where the black and red wire are connected. The air nozzle being in the forward position is not a problem, this is the position of the nozzle when the spring is uncompressed. It will move back when the sector gear moves. What is the problem exactly? Is your gun shooting?

Thanks for all of the help. Turns out the motor was set way to high. I never touched the screw that changes the polarity since I didn't have the right size hex to begin with. After borrowing my buddy's hex set I lowered the motor. Surpersingly.. the motor gear was not stripped at ALL, but the first set of gears in the gearbox are now fubared. I have an extra set so I replaced them.
Thanks again.
