CA MP5 Metal Body + Hopup Airseal Issue

alright, so Ive been running a TM MP5 for the last year and its been performing beyond expectation. After Getting a CA B&T Mp5 Metal body for it, Ive noticed what appears to be an airseal issue. The Body required me to change the Stock TM MP5 hopup with a new Metal Hopup and since then, My rounds have been dropping within 20 meters on any hopup setting.

The gearbox is functioning perfectly, and the airseal issue is not comming from the box.

The Hopup assembly is flush against the gearbox and there is no play between the hopup assembly and the gearbox.

I suspect there may be a gap between diameter of the nozzel and the hopup assembly. But even if this was true, I cannot think of any solution that could try to solve this issue.

Any Suggestions?

Make sure you put the hop up spring in otherwise the gearbox will force the hop up away from it.

Hop up Spring? Im not talking about the plastic CA or TM Hop ups. Im talking about the CA B&T Metal body hop ups.

Theres no springs involved

its probably because the loading nozzle in your mechbox isn't fitting well with the metal hop up (could be fractions of milimeters) and therefore causing an airleak! just try some aftermarket nozzle to find the perfect fit or try to find a ca mp5 loading nozzle... had this happen with my last build, the nozzle was not sealing the hop up chamber tightly! and was causing the gun to fire 110 fps! lol

yea, mines running around 140fps >.> should be shooting 340.

I figured as much, but the way I see it. If the Inner Barrel, hopup and nozzel is the same. There should theoretically be no problems seing how the hop up assembly itself pushes into the hopup rubber.

ehh what i'm talking about is the loading nozzle on the tm mechbox it may be too small in diameter by a few fractions of mm to properly seal the chamber... to fix it simply buy aftermarkets nozzles, look on ehobby should not be too pricey

ahh ok ok, ask a local gundoc... they will surely have some...

edit do you have a vernier caliper... you could measure the id of your hop up then ask for measurement of other nozzles... measured one i have in my part box 6.95 - 6.97 mm

hope this help!
