Metal body question
I am putting the metal body I bought on my G&G. The problem I am having is with the mag release catch. How do I screw the nob onto the lever? Once its in place the spring prevents me from screwing the nob on.

Push the level down using your thumb and screw

A slightly better explanation - press in the mag release button until the catch clears the body on the opposite side and you can unscrew it... G&G mag catches are like the real steel, unlike most others that have a small screw.

is it the stock G&G mag catch or one that is TM style that came with the new body?
if it is TM style you just hold it compressed and screw it together. if it is G&G's then push the nob all the way in and spin the catch to thread it or remove it. |

That does no work, I'll try to be more clear.Once I insert the mag release and put the spring on I have to screw the small button back on to the catch. The piece I am talking about is on the right side of the gun. Now I can screw that nub on two times but then the body of the receiver gets in the way. On mechbox.com they show htne guy using a allen ket to do it but the mag release I have does not use a bolt. The little button you push screws onto the whole magazine release itself.

There is a lever above the mag release on the left side of the gun that prevents this.

oh ok I get it. yes your doing it right the bolt catch gets in the way sometimes. i usually do the mag catch with the upper off so i can move the bolt catch/release out of the way.

Thanks gents I got it. I guess I thought the little nob had to be screwed in more than it does.
