AI Propane Adaptor Malfunction
DISCLAIMER: In no way am I bashing this product, just troubleshooting! You're the man MadMax!
So I go to fill up a mag this morning with my year-old AI Adaptor. This adaptor has been on this tank for about 3 months, sans problems. It gets taken off every 6-8 mag fills so that I can put a few drops of oil into it, using the supplied AI gun lube. When I go to start filling the mag, the adaptor gets stuck in the propane tank and gas starts flying out. I use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull gently up on the nozzle to get it unstuck. Done. I unscrew it, and this is what I am presented with: I try to put it back together and this is what I get: The nozzle sticks out of the top (as shown.) The bottom, I have no idea if it looks right. I have tried to fill mags this way (using multiple tanks), and it seems it doesn't go deep enough to allow the gas to come out. Did I put it together wrong? Did something break that I am not seeing? Am I missing a piece? (Never mind the broken nozzle. It was cold when I grabbed it with the pliers and it snapped. I have the AI Duster Adaptor to fix that.) So, ideas? EDIT: The glue on the bench is GOOP that is stuck there from previous work. Not part of the problem! |
