I recently downgraded the spring I have in my G36C (to comply with my local field's300fps rule) and decided to upgrade the gears and spring guide. Installing everything went fairly well, until I tried to test it. At first BB's came out but were very slow and would not come out every few shots. I disassembled everything just to make sure I put it together correctly and tried to test it again. This time semi-auto worked fine until I set it to full-auto. On full-auto 3 or 4 BB's came out but then it stopped firing. I checked to see what was wrong and there were 6 or 7 BB's inside the barrel. Any ideas with what is wrong?

check to see if your tappet plate (this is the long stem that pulls your air nozzle back and forth after every shot and is driven by the sector gear, or the "gear with half the teeth on it") spring is in, and that your tappet plate slides freely. If that is malfunctioning, you will see bbs getting shot into the barrel, but not exitting the gun, because all of the air power is escaping out of the feeding tube into the magazine.
I've had a friend whos tappet plate actually cracked in half, so check your tappet plate! good luck! |
