hey everyone, just wondering are there any brands of external upgrades that are NOT compatible with tm guns? like ics stuff and what not?

Tactical force, most the externals will not fit.

Everything else like JG to CA will fit. PTW SYSTEMA will not fit, and other GBB Rifles.

ICS has different threading for their front ends than that of Tokyo Marui, if you plan on using an ICS front end you would require a threading tool to change the threading on your reciever.

Parts compatability for TM external M4s is pretty wide, most chinese clone garbage fits, JG, CA parts, King Arms parts, G&P, etc. When it comes down to recievers though, you cannot mish mash uppers and lowers as alot of companies make their uppers and lowers unique.

Correct. Most aftermarket metal bodies requires the upper to slide in parallel with the lower.
