Battery Safety
I recently bought a 9.6 V 1400 mah Tenergy battery with a Smart Charger and noticed a few problems with the charger itself, namely it's not very smart. I, stupidly, left the battery to charge and came back after a couple of hours expecting the charging process to have finished and found that the battery was very hot and making faint hissing noises. I realize that the battery was over charged and most likely lost function, but since none of the cells show any physical signs of damage or explosion would it be safe to at try the battery? Seeing as I just bought the darn thing and spent 20 dollars to have it shipped I'm tempted to use it in my gun at least once hoping it wont explode, does anyone have experience with this? any advice?

Hissing comeing from batteries is never a good idea. You must have bought a rather cheap charger.

You might get lucky and get a good battery, but Tenergy is shit for the most part FYI.
