You'd be surprised actually, it's not so much a pain for raising but just carrying. The grip on the UGL is a bit 'odd' to use as a vertical grip for regular carrying, so you basically cup under the tube as you would a normal rifle.

With the L85's being naturally arse heavy, the UGL balances the weight and gives some nice proportion to the gun.

Yeah ! Removed the Carry handle with iron sight ! Just put my ACOG on the Rail and fits like a glove

By the way, it pretty nice thing you god on your L85A2 ! Heavy !!! YEAH ! When got my L85, didn't have a sling to carry it on the field... and DAMN, at the end of the day.... tired to hold it by myself ! That AEG has a nice weight but YOU NEED a sling to carry it !

By the way, have you changed your inner barrel for a tightbore ? May be my next upgrade ! Length ? Some say it has the length of a M4... or M16.

The inner barrels are M16 length, 509mm. I swapped mine out from the stock carbine barrel (490mm) to a 6.02mm Madbul barrel.

I was able to rig my sling up to the UGL, hooked a grenade ring into the sling loop and ran the SA80 sling through it as per usual.
