If the BBs are turning skyward at 120 feet, then it's more than likely too aggressive of a hopup setting for whatever reason. A new hopup sleeve would probably fix that right up.
Cheers mate... if I dont have a guarder I will seeing you tommorow Pawscal.

You just said you found it before?

It goes on the barrel on the very edge of the hopup between the hopup and barrel.

I shoot at a friend's place out in the country sometimes. From the rail of his deck to his properly line (fence), it's 145 feet. We usually set targets up at 25, 50, 100 feet, then right at the fence. At the fence, we stand 2 bails of hay with a "man" target (that we draw ourselves [badly] on flip-chart paper) on it. The other targets are aluminum pie plates stapled to a stick.

With the sights properly set on my 2 rifles (Elcan on the M15, iron on the Type 56), I can usually hit the 145 foot target 1-2 times with a 4-5 round burst. On semi, I can usually hit the paper (not always the "target") 3-4 times out of 5 shots. And this is firing from the shoulder too. It would be interesting how the guns would do with a test fire from a bench.
