TM MK23 NBB Trigger Jam

Have been looking around for a solution for this for ages, but hoping somebody exists that can actually help!

Basically, the trigger/loading mechanism on my mk23 jams after each shot at a very specific point between full trigger depression and the cocked resting point.

From what I can tell, it seems to have something to do with the magazine, as it only seems to occur when it is inserted. Interestingly, sticking a penny on either side between the slide and the body seems to solve this to a degree, but its hardly ideal for actual use!

Does anybody here know what would cause this? It looks to be that everything is getting caught on the magazine for some reason, but no amount of oil helps, so I'm mostly confused.

Are the feed lips bent?

Which part number would that be? Sorry, I'm not sure. Nothing LOOKS bent from what I can tell, at any rate.

Looks fine to me, maybe I should trim a bit off the top so it doesn't pin the feeding mechanism (I assume that is whats happening)

are you using a new magazine or that mag comes with the gun when you baught it? try checking the hop assembly maybe it is there that the contact is made so thats why it cant cycle.

Its the same original mag.

Have just taken it all further apart and it is definitely the feed lips (part SC-57) causing the problem, so good call on that earlier!

Not sure how to fix it though, may just buy a new mag and see if that fixes anything. Could always be bent internals though, as a lot of the mechanisms all have their own separate sticking point at that same point in the trigger pull, for some reason.

Edit: Nope turns out its part SC-58, the rubber has become warped over time and it causing too much friction on the various internals, new mag for sure then! (short-term solution, taking a scalpel to the base of the rubber, appears to work)

Thanks for the help!
