Gun that is just DEAD, cannot revive HELP
Having a weird problem with my G&P M4 being completely dead. I recently installed a 170% PDI but my mechbox and gears are all reinforced. After gaming for an hour just fine, my motor won't even turn now even when i remove the mechbox. Ive cleaned all the contacts and charged the battery. How can I tell if the motor's burnt out? Its a high speed G&P M120 and I figured it could handle the 170. Wrong?

hi speed motors are for rof, high torque motors are for stronger springs.

Does the motor go "click" when you try to fire?
G&P has a rather particular procedure when you assemble them. Tightening screws in the wrong order, routing the wiring in the grip and motor position all affect the operation of this gun.

Fuse has been checked, just fine. And the tech guy at WGC told me i'd be fine throwing in the 170 without changing anything. How can I tell if the motor's burnet out cause like i said my motor won't even turn now even when i remove the mechbox.
Thanx for the quick replies |

If your motor won't turn when connected directly to the battery, then it's done.
Get a new one. EG700 is a workhorse, with a long history of being used in G&P guns (as well as Marui).

You may have blown the fuse. This can be caused by mixing up the wires when you connected to the motor. Make certain that red is positive and black in negative.

likely motor, I'd go with a high torque motor for sure, eg700 is a good choice.
