A really fast hop-up question

hey guys, I'm a first time poster on the site and not very research savvy so please bare with my noobish question: I recently purchased the replica L96 off of buyairsoft.ca and I'm having trouble understanding how to use the hop-up, i know what it is, and i think i know where it is on the gun but the instruction manual was of no help at all. I'm wondering what way i should turn this little screw in front of the magazine and where i should turn it before cleaning it so as not to damage it. all help is appreciated!

Go to the FAQ section for what a hopup is. Also, try googling "L96 review" and see what turns up.

It's inside your magwell facing towards the front of the gun, its quite hidden which is stupid but you should have received an allen key with your weapon. take a light and poke around the front part of your magwell and you should be able to spot it.

It's a set screw.

Left = Loose (pulls the set screw out, less hop)
Right = Tight (pushing the set screw down, more hop)
