Why wouldn't his piston head be vented? lol
There's alot of unkowns about bore-up kits. The highly experienced gunsmith that used to work at XT put boreup kits into all the guns there (MP5 and M4) with stock barrels (thats 363mm and 229mm), and it would raise the fps by 40-50fps. All the bore up kit does is more more air in the same amount of time as a regular kit. I agree further testing is required, but I trust that gunsmith.
As for advice, I'd say replace your hopup rubber (with a guarder clear rubber, they kick ass!! ) and air seal nozzle (with guarder or systema).
Typically if everything else is fine and you can't find the problem, it's the air nozzle not coming into contact with the hopup rubber

Thanks for the tips. If the spring turns out not to be the problem, I'll look at that.

Not yet. This weekend I think I'm going to crack the mechbox again and install the stock spring. I just hate trying to reseat the damned thing....

I should relly just drop some $$ and take this thing to a gun doc to get it running real sweet.

I will be getting the G&P stock for the G36 so that i can install a large battery on my classic army g36, i wonder if i can use a 9.6v battery without any upgrade on the ca g36. Would a 9.6v battery cause any damage to the stock ca g36?

Also what is the best spring i should get if i want to upgrade my g36?

Solved.

The spring was a dud. I put the stock spring back in and it shoots what it should.

Should not.

I don't know CA's gun enought yet, but with some metal bushings, you can run 9.6v easilly.

I have a Steel/bearing hybrid setup and I run a 12v pack on all other stock internals...Star G36K
