Is there any form of hole below the head of the pinion gear that would look like you could fit a hex key into it? Perhaps there is some sort of small screw holding it into place.

heat up the pinion gear and it expands and then comes off. Watch you don't melt anything else.

edit: found this btw http://miairsoft.proboards70.com/ind...0792867&page=1

u want to be careful and not misalign the shaft or else it'll cause some problems
If u ever do a uncompany or redwolf order... or find a local gun doc/hobby shop they should have a pinion removal tool takes a few seconds to do

well i heated it with my lighter for about 10 seconds, then i used a phillups screw driver and put it in a way so that when i pull up on the screwdriver it would slowly bring up the gear. then on my ak one it had no metal peice to rest the philips on so i left it in the motor holder and i think it works the same as a pinion removeal vice thing and i jus pride it off the same way as the first.

You need a special puller and installer for pinion gears. If you try to just pull the gear off and hammer the new one on, you'll probably destroy your motor.

go on ebay and get a gear puller from an R/C store. I just ordered one so I will let you know how it works when I get it.

RC gear pullers are usually too lightly built to pull these gears. I broke two of them trying. You need a proper puller and seating tool to do it right. Can't remember where I got mine, but it makes short work of chaninging pinion gears without damage.
