Need help identifying Camouflage!
Okay, I need some assistance from any who can provide. I'm trying to locate some specific camouflage, but I don't even know if it's official/actual camouflage (somehow, I doubt it), or if it's just "coo' street shit".
I can't find any pictures of it, so I'll describe it as best I can. It's basically just a two-or-three-tone blotch-style consisting of black, and dark gray. It's not quite urban, as there's no white or light gray, but it may be a variation on it. I don't know though because I couldn't find a picture of it, so I don't know what to call it. And just to add, it's for a certain theme, so don't me hassle about how useless it will be, because I know. Anyway, can anyone either give the proper name for this shit, say whether it's available in BDU-form, ect.? I whipped this up in MS Paint just to give an idea: |

looks WAY too balck and dark to be an actual camo, urban stuff has white or light grey in it and all specific night camouflages are shades of blue, not black. You can look for camouflages here:

I just found this, which is it, but I still have no idea what it's called. I'm sure it isn't "real" camouflage, like I said, so I might be forced to dye my own. I did find some similar Propper in the digitial design in three-tone gray-on-black-on-gray, but that isn't what I'm looking...damn!

It's an urban wear pattern, which varies in shade and blotch size depending on the clothing manufacturer. Oakley has something similar called "Midnight Camouflage, and I also have a piece of Nike DRI FIT gear in a similar pattern:

Thanks, guys. I think I found it; Propper has something called "Subdued Urban", which is basically Urban without the white, and the greys are a little darker. Still not exactly what I'm looking for (the image ILLusion posted is the stuff, but I'm doubtful about getting anything that's battle-worthy), but I suppose it's close enough, and it should hold out since it is Propper and all.

I know I can find the performance shirts, but what I'm really looking for is a set of BDUs, so I guess those Proppers are the way to go.

I'm thinking of buying the same, Propper Battle Rip ACU Trouser F5211 and Propper Battle Rip ACU Coat F5470 in Subdued Urban Digital.
I sent of a whole whack of emails throughout Canada to different stores. The ones Daves is selling looks too bright (camera too much flash) or it might not be the subdued version (no model #) on page https://dstactical.com/product_info....oducts_id=1063 anyhow I emailed him about which model he is selling. Bill at thingsmilitary sells only the tru spec 1939 and 1938 which looks pretty good to at $39.99. Problem is there is no way to judge how bright it is. Also I still have not compared all the features between the Propper and Tru Spec. eg tru spec might not be spill resistant and might not have ripstop material. http://www.thingsmilitary.com/produc...Twill-6-3.html

Syn, hit Creative Outdoors in Richmond Hill (Hwy 7 and West Beaver Creek). They've had the subdued urban digis in stock for a while now. The pic on DST looks lighter than it does in person, if they're the same camo. Creative carries the Propper trousers and shirt in this pattern.
Love DST, but I always shop local whenever possible (price being comparable of course). |
