M16 Vietnam Magazines
I want to know the differences between the King Arms mags and the Tokyo Marui mags, because im kinda strapped for cash so i was leaning toward the King Arm ones due to the fact that they are half the price of the marui ones. Also, i want the hicap mag. I just want some feed back of the vietnam type mags you guys have used.
Thanks, Vince |

Used:
TM 120 Rnd Highcap GP 170 Rnd Midcap Star 20 Rnd Realcap As far as I'm concerned, for authenticity sake, the Star mag is superior to all. The reasons are two fold. 1) They hold the right number of rounds. 2) They are larger than both the Marui and GP mags, and have dimentions almost identical to the real version. Proof? Check this out... ![]() ![]() Marui/GP is the dark one / shortest one. Star is the grey one / middle sized one. Obviously the other one is a real 20 round mag. Nice bonus of course is you get 10 in a box less than the price of two TM mags.

Do the STARs really hold an effective 20 rounds though? I had some of their G3 mags and they held EXACTLY 20 BBs which meant you'd get 16 shots out of them because the last four won't feed. The 30 round M16 mags are supposed to hold about 34 rounds to compensate for this, but do the 20s?

It's ok. Because typically they'd only be loaded to 18 anyways to avoid jamming. ![]()

Just thought I'd point out that Classic Army will soon have VN midcaps (110rd), for those who were burnt by G&P mags in the past (such as myself).
