KSC Glock 18c Problem:

Hey guys, I seem to be having a bit of an issue with my Glock 18. I just got my 50 round extended mag and within a few shots it starts to get really weak and then finally stops when it just starts releasing all the gas from the mag. At first I thought it was the mag, but I can fire off a whole clip semi or full auto in my KSC Glock 23f and its fine leaving me to believe its the GLock 18 and not the mag.

Now I'm using propain on a plastic slide and barrel with the 18 (metal on the 23) so could that be its issue, that I broke it using propain? I have already ordered the metal upgrade parts and inhansed recoil spring and I think they should be getting them mid November.

But just to be on teh safe side I thought I would throw it out there and see if you guys knew what was causing the problem.

Thanks.

How often have you oiled your 18C? Need to make sure you get oil in around the hammer assembly inside and on the peice that links the hammer to the valve on the mag. Often that part gets neglected for oil and it sticks, causing the gas to empty.

It could be just the cold weather making propane ineffective.

Original parts for the KSC G18C hammer assembly are quite crap, KSC has finally realized that and apparently all the replacement parts they now sell are better quality. I have a similar issue with mine and that resulted in Part No. 267 being broken. Your best bet to be save is to order part numbers 263-267 from JAFA, should be under $40CAD or so. Also get a hold of a firefly rocket valve (steel) if you're going to be putting on a metal slide.
