Just looking a little closer...the hop-up sleeve is one piece and it may be the entire black piece that is misaligned. The black piece encompasses the inner barrel and moving the 'teeth collar' presses down on the rubber to increase hop. The 'black hop sleeve' is shaped like a D such that the flat part of the D should be on the bottom of the feed ramp. Check dat.

So you're saying it should be at 6 o'clock, not twelve?

There is a little steel ball bearing that creates the hop up. Could be it's shifted (noticing your hop up dial is set enough to give some hop up). I installed a tightbore barrel in my favourite G19, was stupid easy, just pushed out a pin, the hop up unit came apart easy and cleanly, installed the new barrel and reassembled without any trouble. Instead of trying ot force the hop up around and such, just take it apart and reassemble properly (less damage).

Yes, the small ball bearing is on a recessed incline ramp that pushes down against the black rubber D as you turn the dial. Stalker's suggestion to disassemble and reassemble is a good bet as long as you don't do it too many times (it becomes wobbly, quick!).

As it stands, the barrel I took a picture of is actually a spare. I haven't tested it but if you're interested you can buy it off me.

Ok I'll take it apart and see what I can do. I'll let you know what I find - thanks for the help to all of you.

Nick_273, could you get a picture with your hop-up ramp in focus? Just want to see what it looks like, for comparison.

Exclamation

Update: I took it apart and yes, the rubber hop-up was misaligned. I was able to correct it, but unfortunately I lost my little steel ball bearing (Part 16)!

Is it necessary?

If so, does anyone know the size of the ball so I can buy a new one, or be willing to sell me one of theirs?
