KJW m9 slide grind
Ok im trying to fix one of my team mates guns. The problem is the gun will fire for about 3 shots then the slide grinds to a halt before it can return fully into battery. This then vents all the gas from the mag. Im just wondering if anyone has any insight or has had this problem before.

Check and relube the hammer and all moving parts. It probly siezed because it wasnt lubed. Also check the mag valve.

I have done all of that. It would seem it has a shifty recoil spring in it. My m945 has a plastic slide and this one has a metal slide. They seem to have the same strength spring. Could this be part of the problem. There is a lot of wear on the painted parts where the slide contacts them. This leads me to believe its slightly tight on the outer barrel. Those are my only ideas cus i lubed the gun up enough.
Edit> i have done some light filing on a few sharp metal barbs on the slide and the problem seems to be almost fixed. The recoil spring in this gun si still really piddily. |
