US MOLLE BELT ?
US Molle padded load carrier waist belt with a molded plastic pice at the center back. These are made by Specialty Defense. What the heck is it for teh plastic mold does not integrate with the ALICE and maybe the marines have a new Pack. I don't know what it does, The plastic has a double lock in spring and an adjustable up down ripple. The whole black piece can be removed from the belt. So anyone seen this or know what the heck its for? I got a dozen and I've seen similar belts on Ebay and from Specdefense between 5-40 USD. So what is this one for?

IIRC, I believe that's a first Gen MOLLE belt. That large plastic thingy is situated in the rear and is supposed to "plug in" to interface with the rucksack and thereby transferring the weight to the hips. Didn't work out.
Gen 1 MOLLE ruck system was mostly reviled. |

pugs is correct. There were a lot of problems reported with that ball and socket joint. It was removed for Molle Gen 2.

The belts look like they could still be used. It looks like suspenders and webbing should be compatible with the attachment points on the top and MOLLE pouches look like they should attach onto the MOLLE.
As for the plastic piece???
