My brand new venom 1200mah cells :(
Grrrrr, my brand new 1200mah cells... i think they blew or something happened with them.
its a mini pack for my m4 ris, it was custom made... basically i heard some noise while i was discharging, i look later and it has white crud in beween the cells where they touch... what could have possibly gone wrong them them? was i discharging the wrong way? The cells still work... but dont seem to hold the charge much longer anymore... please help thanks. |

Did you buy them locally? If so take them back and have them check them out/replace. If from an online store, your basically out of luck, or it'll cost you more to ship them back.

The noise was probably the safety vents opening and venting the electrolite (the white stuff) / gasses.
This can happen from heat build up in the cells, in this case there may have been a short and/or they were discharged way to fast/hard. |

Were these AA-sized cells? You're not supposed to fast-discharge those....

Well, from what happened apparently.....
What brand are the cells (not the pack)? |

Venom brands their own cells. Who they're manufactured by is anyone's guess, though there aren't many 1200 mAh 2/3A cells around. Intellect is the only manufacturer I can think of off the top of my head, everyone else seems to still be stuck at 1100.
