LCT AS VAL Motor Height Issue

Hello all!
recently got my hands on a LCT AS VAL and ive ran into a small problem when starting to shim it and hopefully someone might have ran into the same issue.

It seems I cant get the Motor Height high enough to make proper engagement, Ive screwed in the adjustment screw as far as it goes and its still I'd say 1-2mm off.

Is this a normal thing due to the different angle of the motor cage? Any fixes?

Never worked on one so I might be way off, but can the screw be replaced with longer?

Or is as simple as the motor pinion sitting too far down the shaft?

New screw won't do it any good because the motor shell is hitting the top of the motor cage. Seems like the pinion needs to be seated up higher but it's already at the "normal" height

The bevel needs to be shimmed closer to the pinion gear

did you buy it new? if you did, take it back.

If you bought it used or someone upgraded it, the shimming of the bevel is off.. it's probably so low that the pinion will not reach it. If no warranty can be claimed, then it will need to be opened up and reshimmed.
