Ok thanks for the heads up. Yeah the Real Sword type 97's look really nice, but they are a little pricey for a backup, since I still want to run my SCAR most of the time. I'll look around ASC some more to see if I can find some more threads on CYMA AK's.

Evike often ships on the friday, seems that they only drop international items once a week, unless you pick the fast shipping I guess.
IIRC, pistol slides are fine, as far as the real steel pistol is fine to own, I think that compact pistols (G26, etc) are a no go even if it's airsoft, but I can't confirm... |

I sort of get of where people are coming from with WE pistol quality. Its certainly not the best. Although, I'm relatively new to airsoft. Attempting to fix this could be a good learning experience. Then at some point in the near future I'll get something that would last.
Also, I found that the outer barrel of this pistol is actually a plastic TM outer barrel. The slide internals is some sort of mix and match of different companies. I should also add that I'll probably place an order to evike in two weeks. I'll let everyone know how it works out. |

Oh for sure; just imagine how awful a WE pistol with all WE parts would be!!
Oh wait, they work fine till an until another self taught gun doc butchers them.

It works again. I got spare G17 parts from ehobby and was able to replace whats broken.
I disassembled the hammer group and found that the firing pin (valve knocker) was broken and not moving properly. So, I just replaced it. I attached a picture of the broken firing pin and the new one. Also, I learned a bit more about the blowback housing. I applied superlube on areas that make metal on metal contact. The only time the slide get stuck is when I lightly pull back the slide. Anything above a light pull on the slide, it will go fully forward. If you lock back the slide and hit the slide release it will return fully forward. I also found that this blowback housing does not accept a stock G17 nozzle. Nor will the blowback housing would fit in a HK3P G17 slide. |

Glock expert in here ,
we g19 gen 4- underrated by its bigger brothers , the quality of the polymer is a 10/10 ksc g17 gen 3- feel like the trigger is going to break during a game. marui 17 gen 3 perfect internals but the lower receiver seems like cheap abs plastic to me my favourite is the WE g19 gen 4 , its feeling like a little tank in my hand and its the most beautiful lower airsoft grip ive seen by far , i know everybody will say ahhh the tm is better blablabla , but we glock got a LOT of steel parts avaible on the market which make it even more reliable than any stock tm glock or sometime if you are lucky better than a upgraded tm glock , money can solve everything in airsoft ! |

Oh we do hate you, just never felt like wasting the time to give you a user title :P

kjw used to make a g17 i owned one, and yes that is 100% a kjw slide. The one.issue i had at times was the lil screw would back off a lil preventing the slide from returning to battery but yours seems tight, so other than incompatability with the we lower i dont know what to tell u without lookin at it.
edit: now that i read tye rest of the way through, i see that yer valve knocker was busted, also a common issue, tho doesnt normally stop the slide from returning to tue front lol. Glad u got it sorted oit

When my WE G17 was broken I got an used HK3P G17 (which turned out to be malfunctioning see my other thread). I found that the release lever in the WE G17 sticks out a little bit more than the release lever for the HK3P G17. The WE G17 release lever also does not positively lock down when you cycle the slide. The release lever is the shiny tab that sicks out on the rear of the frame.
