Removing a Sector gear delay chip

im trying to replace some gears and ive been trying to remove the sector gear chip but it just wont come out, any suggestions? also is the chip necessary for the gun to function to properly?

No, the gun doesn't require the sector chip to function. It's only purpose is to delay the tappet plate so a bb will feed in high speed setup, or if you're tappet plate doesn't pull back the nozzle far enough to feed a bb. Just use a flat head screw driver and gently pry it up.

they start becoming more and more helpful the closer you get to 25rps... and over 30rps it's almost a requirement.

They do help with sluggish feeding though, so it's advantageous if you have slower feeding mags or ammo.

I use a razor blade to get stubborn clips unstuck, and then pliers to get them off.

As for sector delay clips being a requirement, I would disagree. I had problems with tappet plate pre-engagement at 32 RPS, so I removed the clip and even short stroked the tappet plate, feeding was perfect after that.
