Elcan Spectre DR clone - QD arms are too loose
Is there any way to tighten the quick detach arms on this scope? I cant see anything that's adjustable or removable. I've read about using some tape on the rail to make it a tighter fit so the arms have more resistance when locking down. I'll give that a try but is that the only option? On a GBBR it rattles loose very quickly and can fall off if you're not paying attention.

I had that issue with a QD FTS 3xmagnifier. Frog Tape worked ")

I'm pretty sure that issue is due to tolerances between the rail and optic mount. I noticed the same issue with a clone Eotech I have. It fits fine on a King Arms upper but it won't tighten down on a particular G&P upper.
Try shimming the bottom of the mount or the rail itself with some electrical tape (or anything similar), that usually fixes any problems I've had with parts fitting loosely on off-spec rails. |
