head/face protection
I will be playing my first game on Sunday. In addition to the goggles and a lower mesh face mask, I am planning to wrap my head with a shemagh to protect my self from the BBs and rain/cold.
I want to know whether I am over doing it?? |

If it's your first time, you'll know if you're over doing it when you're done. Try it out and alter as neccessary

agreed, i for oned just wear a boonie hat and goggles outdoors, or a baliclava in winter to keep warm, some folks wear helmet and mesh face half mask and goggles, its really whatever works for you, you can never be "too protected" you can however be uncomfortable or in danger if you are under protected, like mommy always said beter safe then sorry, you can always remove something mid game but if ya get a welt on yer face or head itll be there a while lol

Honestly, I hate shemaghs... I know people love em but they are clumsy and bad at heat retention...
Wool/fleece hat. Fleece neck gaiter, and you will be warm as a bug in a rug. $20 total. You do not need any more protection from the cold / BB's, rain you should protect against with a coat's hood or boonie. EDIT: In my opinion, shemaghs are only good at protecting your neck from the sun and preventing chaffing from armor carriers and chest rigs. |
