I’m also going to have to +1 the Banshee here. Superb build quality, especially considering the price. I picked mine up nearly 2 years ago for $98.00 USD (in the A-TACS pattern when it was brand-spanking-new no less!) on sale from Ares Armor. I’ve gamed it many times and wear it every chance I get and it is still holding strong with no rips in the 1000D or webbing. The stitching has never so much as budged compared to the cheaper gear I’ve picked up over the past 2 years that has fallen apart in no time.

Speaking from personal experience, Pantac, Condor and TMC are utter crap compared to TAG. In the time I’ve had my TAG/Shellback Tactical Banshee Plate Carrier I’ve watched my first TMC plate carrier fall apart, the Pantac plate carrier’s stitching unravel like a wool sweater, and I just gave the Condor one to a buddy because the “500D” felt like a heavy twill fabric at best.

To be completely honest, go the distance and spend the extra few bucks on the Banshee. You will not be disappointed. And if you’re still not sold on it because you have to buy pouches too, believe me, $20.00-$30.00 bucks here and there for some pouches over time is nothing to worry about. Just don’t look back and calculate how much you actually spent on the stuff a year from now.

@ Zeonprime Very nice setup by Najohn, does he come out to FR Monday nights, would like to see it in person. Have a ump and have been working on a p90 for a while now and am looking for a decent setup for long mags. I was thinking of running a horizontal molle adapter and running 2 mags across my 6094a. Right now just running them on my belt.

Yeah NaJohn comes out every other week, and now that you know what his rig looks like, just watch for the tiny asian man in that vest

While the idea for the horizontal MOLLE adapter is interesting, what you may want to consider (just a suggestion here) is consider them only for the side cummerbund portions. If you put them on the front plate surface and had to pull a mag out sideways, you may expose yourself to getting hit will drawing out the mag. However if you save your pouches for the side (and running them paralell to the ground) you would be drawing the mag out and forward.

Hmm.. dunno...tell you what, we can look at what your options are at the field and have you try a few different things to what works best for you and keeps you combat effective. Remind me at the next game and we can brainstorm solutions for you

What Zeon said, usually I am the only guy running all black gear too (black vest, helmet, pouches, etc.)

What about this? http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/flyye-lt6...live-drab.html

I still suggest the Banshee however Flyye is identical to Pantac and at that price, if that is what you are looking for (6094 specifically) then I would get that.

$70 plus a bunch of pouches. Doesn't matter what material their made of, someone had to cut costs somewhere, and vietnamese children don't care if your pouches/molle fall off your vest or tear apart in the middle of a 24 hour game.
Everyone who's ever done any serious airsofting with a $70 combo package, knows NOT to buy a combo package lol

The real steel plate carriers are still only $120-180, more still for some bigger names, but generally inexpensive for something that's guaranteed for life of EVERYDAY use.
Pouches are where it's going to hurt your wallet, but where you'll notice the quality most.
Condor's the "lowest" end of high quality, very inexpensive, but also very tough.

I have this one

shop.ehobbyasia.com/combat-gears/vests/molle-vests/flyye-force-recon-vest-with-pouch-set-ver-land-ranger-green.html

The vest is amazing, very good quality, come with all pouches

i don't regret my purchase, and i prefered to spend more and i know it will last for ever compare to my first one (was a clone, china made)

False.

Pantac = new Phantom brand identity, same thing.
Flyye = different company.

Both are pretty good for repros (IMHO, the best repro gear on the market... better than Condor or anything else), but I consider Flyye to be a bit better than Pantac. Colors are a bit different too.

With that said, shop carefully... you can often find second-hand Eagle or LBT (etc) for close to Flyye/Pantac prices.

I second the Banshee because I also have it. Got it virtually brand new off the Classifieds so keep your eye open there.

I got it in CB. Reason being as Zeon said, it can fit in virtually any environment and if there is more green in one area, maybe one day you will have the cash for OD pouches and boom done. You've broken up the visual signature and you're good to go.

Also for not looking like your friend. I dunno bout you, but when you and your buddies are all looking similiar, it looks tacti-cool my friend!

I will also be coming out to FR maybe whenever Najohn goes, so you can see how I have my rig setup as well nstahl.

Note: I had a Phantom Ciras before, it was ok at first. But I did notice that here and there the stiching was shreading, and that was only with 1 year of use (I was second owner so maybe 2 years use). I ended up selling it to a friend. When I saw it a year or two later, it was a bit worse. I can't say that it would look good after 4 years of use. Which some can argue that is plenty, but when I buy, I buy to last. Not to replace, EVER.
