Brasso and Inner Barrels?

I was watching this evike video, and it said if you want a little better performance with your inner barrel, put a little brasso on some paper towel and put it down the barrel. So has anyone tried this before?

Brasso is a cream abrasive. Be very cautious what type of barrel you do this to, and how often. While you may be removing any scratches and creating a higher polish on the inside, realize that this is done by using abrasion to polish out the finish. ie, you are performing micro scratching. Do it a certain way for a long time, and you will eventually open up the bore - and if doing it by hand, don't expect the wear to be 100% even on all sides. You can develop an uneven bore, which could be worse than a rough surface.

There are less destructive methods to cleaning your barrel. Using cream abrasives is just the fastest/easiest way to do it. You pay a price for it over time, though.

And dont cheap out they arent that expensive anyhow unless look a really high end stuff. For 30-50 bucks u can get a decent tightbore.
If u wanna clean yer barrel just use some cotton cloth strips on the end of an unjamming rod with the slot in it spray it with some windex do that a cpl times and on the last time run some silicone oil through it.
When buyin a new barrel u can get brass ones. They have a sort of self lu ricating property but are easy to scratch ding dent cause brass is soft.
Stainless steel is more money but is harder to damage

They only sell 6.03 tightbore barrels at my local airsoft shop (Toronto airsoft) will that make a difference.

6.03 Is considered the best for accuracy, tighter then 6.03 usually degrades accuracy but increases power.

So what's a good brand for tight bore barrels? Modify Hybrid,Angry Gun?

no you put it in for cleaning, but he's saying dont have putting silicon oil in the barel as a last step. Cause some people will pour/spray silicon oil in their barrels AFTER they finish cleaning them. It is VERY detrimental to the accuracy of the airsoft gun.

I'm a noob at airsoft so don't take my cleaning procedure too seriously, but what I do for my CA M15A4 Rifle AEG is turn the hop-up setting all the way off, cut out strips of paper towel that are ~10mm in width and ~30mm in length (dimensions suggested in the CA manual), put those on the supplied cleaning rod, put two small drops of airsoft silicone oil on the towel to make it damp (but NEVER soaking wet), and run that in and out of my barrel, replacing the oiled strips as needed until no more visible residue gets on the cleaning strips. After that, I then usually run either one or two dry cleaning strips in the barrel (depending on how damp they get) to remove any excess silicone oil. I'd had good results so far doing that (with my performance staying intact), but experts please correct me if I'm doing it wrong.

Regarding tightbore barrels, what I've heard is that while 6.01mm barrels provide great accuracy, they require frequent cleaning and are prone to jamming due to their very tight tolerances. A 6.03mm tightbore barrel is the best, as it provides much-improved performance over a stock barrel (usually 6.08mm), while not jamming as easily as a 6.01mm barrel (although they still have to be cleaned).

To all of the guys talking about diametre of barrels, there have been thousands of threads on every airsoft forum about this. Consistency of barrel over diametre.

As for good brands, Mad bull is the best bang for the buck. I've never tried a Modify barrel but it should be pretty good but you can only use the rubber that goes with it. I'd highly recommend Prometheus, they're the only barrels I use, they're expensive but for a reason.
