Hmmm... interesting.

I have sordins, and assumed that comtacs will behave the same. Thanks. Well cuting or not, sound insulation is too thin in sordins and comtacs for range...

Cheers,
Ferch

My ZSordin one does, atleast when I tested with my Thunder B.

How are the ZSordins? Do they actually transmit outside sounds well enough not to reduce situational awareness?

The upper two setting actually amplify the surround sound. Its fine when you are hearing but when you're yelling, it will make you want to use a quieter voice as the amplification cancel your body's own sound reduction on your voice.

Get real earpro, for indoor muffs are necessary, outdoor you can get away with plugs as you don't have walls reverberating the shockwave into you.

Pay attention to your head afterwards, if you have any headaches after a range trip your earpro is not doing it's job. You might not have worn it securely enough (eyepro can sometimes interfere with a good fit) or it may be damaged and should be replaced.

I converted a pair of Z tactical headphones into analog headphones for my computer. That's about the only other use they have.

As stated above, they are not rated to protect from repeated gunfire, and tinnitus is a miserable thing to develop.

Also, the CZ 858 is a hell of a gun to bring to the range. I've been pulled aside by MNR officers asking where they can get one of their own before.

Total crap.

Left ear mic stopped working after 4h of use and battery compartment holds like it's symbolic.

Dont bother, go for the real deal if you feel this has an actual use for you.
