Will I have any trouble importing an Evike riotshield?
For those of you who have ever played at laser trek in calgary, you will know that there are a couple games with riot shield, they are crude homemade ones. me and a friend want to get one for ourselves. we just dont want customs to seize it. and I also hear bad things about evike, do you know where I can get one from another place?
I've read the FAQ and I couldnt find anything about riot shields |

Wouldnt shipping on a riot shield, even a repo cost a butt load to ship? Why do you want to shop and give your money to evike so badly? Learn from the costly mistakes of other users on here and stay the hell away from them.
Besides, making your own shield can be pretty fun to do. |

Evike inst terrible. Retailers just tell people to stay away from them so they get business. I know plenty of people who buy from evike

I'm not a retailer nor do I have any connection with one, and I will tell you that Evike is a nightmare from first hand experience.

No. I'm not a retailer, I've never been even remotely related to any retailer, and I've been ripped off about 150$ by Evike in parts that were perfectly legal to import. Hell, PayPal decided that I was right, even though Evike somehow managed to prevent PayPal from giving me my money back.
So no, it's not a lie.

Why dont you make your own shield? It would only cost a trip to the hardware store and 20 bucks. Plus you get to have the fun of making something yourself.

Your absolutely right , and i encourage you to buy from Evike. I'm sure these members ( some like Jordan who have been a member since you were in grade 2) are mistaken or just don't know as much as you.

Good points all. Ordering a riot shield from evike is a great way to get your feet wet. You don't have to be a certain age or anything like that.
I can't imagine what could go wrong.

Riot shields don't stop bullets....
Ballistic shields weigh 15- 20 KG or more depending on materials.

I'm never buying stuff over the border unless it's worth my time and evike is definitely not worth my time because of the UPS thing (however an $800 HDTV that costs $2000 in Canada, even without warranty definitely is worth my time). EDIT: @ Rusty: Shit.... I just realized that it's been that long..... Man time goes by fast when you're "old" (I'm only 22 though...).
