KJW M9 Pistol Valve knocker problem.

Hello ASC Gun doctors, I have a KJW M9 Beretta problem. This is a Gas Blow Back, that is run by propane. So I'll try and describe it with words.

So basically when a loaded gun is present and I pull the trigger, the gun will not shoot. But if I repeat the firing process such as pulling the trigger, sometimes I will hear nicks of gas, on rare occassions it will even do a full cycle or enough to blow the slide back but not lock in place.

The gun is greased and oil in the correct spots, the magazine shoots fine in other M9's. The gun does have some slight wear and tear, and the trigger spring is broken. But nothing that should harm the firing mechanism.

I've attached a video for reference.

YouTube- KJW Beretta M9 Valve Problems.

So above is the breakdown of the m9, Part 38 does not connect with the m9 magazine. When I remove the slide and look inside where their is a gap between the mag well and magazine, you can see the valve knocker(Part 38) And the pin on the magazine, and it looks like the magazine isn't long enough. But these magazines used to work flawlessly. I've counted every part and double checked the look, everything looks A okay.

What it looks to me is that there is a problem with the mag. but now you say you have tested it in another M9? Check the pin, maybe its not having enough force to push the nipple in on the mag, possibly a bent piece somewhere. Besides this maybe (if) you have added any preformance parts, this could have affected how well it preforms?

The only upgrades this gun has ever seen, is a new black finish and a king arms trigger spring. A bent part could most likely be a possibility, but sadly I don't know what part would look out of shape.

I have just recently completely stripped the gun, I even did a part check. I have all parts according to the diagram stated above. None malformed or mispositioned. good thing is I fixed one of my m9 mags that was leaking in the process. nothing a little shoe goop and some silicon oil can't fix.

I'll try to display what I think the issue is with a video.

Do you know how to remove the valve at the top of the mag? I need to replace it but am not sure how to gert it out. And do you know if you can just oil the rings on the valve or do you have to get new ones?

and in response to your question, did you make sure all the springs in the cocker assembly were clicked in the right position?

Is your valve knocker broken? Or perhaps the valve knocker spring is broken.

Take it to a gundoc who will be able to diagnose it a lot quicker than over the internet. If you want, you can send it to me. I have experience with KJW/TM Berettas.

Bump!

Im having the identical problem.... I have two WE m92's. Both used to work fine, now nothing. Complete stripdown, of all parts, washed and cleaned off old lube and grime, reassembled flawlessly, shimmed hammer spring for more force on the knocker, and still no gas gets released. the knocker is moving like it is supposed to but it seems to just not push the valve.

I have taken out the valves and cleaned and soaked them in tons of silicon oil but still no action. Will try ordering performance output valves for the mags as that is the only thing left i can think of other than replacing all the knocker linkage parts but i can't see that being the problem the parts are brand new and show no signs of wear. Thanks WE/KJW for selling me a shitty pistol lol sorry 2 shitty pistols

Is your valve knocker spring broken? Did you even look at it?

You said "complete stripdown of all parts" however did you completely disassemble the firing/hammer assembly? Most people wouldn't do that.

Both guns I stripped down the trigger / hammer rail assembly and hand cleaned each part and reassembled carefully. The Valve knocker spring COULD be a problem but It looks fine physically and looks the way it is supposed to according to the exploded diagram. That spring is probably related, but for now it seems it may simply be the output valves on both of my mags : I have cleaned them, soaked them in silicon oil over night, lubricated them as effectively as possible before putting them back into the mags, but still neither mag will fire off. Maybe a recorded video could help?

Best guess is : http://www.pegatiros.com/download/de...skj/kj-m9s.jpg

Part 40 isn't doing its thing right or part 38 is somehow failing already even though both guns only have a hundred or so rounds through them at most.

Problems with these guns started when sand / dirt got within a mile of these things... just dust in the air and a bit of kicked up sand ended these cheap GBB's careers. I'm on the road to trying brand new output valves (CNC Machined Stainless Steel) as that MIGHT be the problem but i feel like i should be getting some gas release here and there as I now have the hammer spring up to approx 150% through shimming and when i i test the knocker on my finger it hits with good force. I guess part 40 (knocker spring) isn't lining the knocker up right with the output valve or something.

It really feels like it is NOT a problem from dirt or anything, just a lousy design with poor tolerances. I would love to fix it though to get these operational and back in the arsenal.

Any slick ideas or a gun doctor in Scarborough/Toronto with some time on his /her hands would be appreciated. These ARE cheap beginner crap pistols, and have left me permanently disappointed with the quality of WE/WETTI Airsoft, especially since I own a KWA ATP now which is miles better, and my roomate has had three WE/WETTI guns fall to peices on him. that being said, even though they don't belong on the market because they are a waste of money they are built so poorly, I wouldn't mind fixing these pistols so my friends have something to use if they come out for a game.

Any help massively appreciated, im sick of cleaning these and putting these back together and getting no help from WE/WETTI. Those guys seriously make some sh*tty equipment.
