Well first you need to start off with what you're looking at doing. Nobody can give you any suggestions if they don't know what kind of style you play first of all. Secondly, gear is basically down to personal preference. The only real way you can figure out what you need is to play some games and you'll figure it out quite quickly.

are you playing indoors or outdoors?
do you play as a sniper, dmr, rifleman, gunner? how much ammo do you go through in a game? do you carry any other equipment? do you play scrimmages or large scenarios? |

Like I said in another thread :
Woodland Camouflage (M81 woodland, DPM, Flecktarn or any other) with a matching boonie hat or cap and a LBV (webbing, Plate carrier, Assault vest, chest rig, etc.) that you feel confortable with it. Its the basics. If you have specifics questions about some equipement, feel free to ask. |

For 150$, you won't have much. Barely a complete BDU.

If you go for issued 1990's production NATO camo ( flecktarn, DPM , M81 woodland) or even russian , you can buy a set for 50$. 150$ is for camies like Atacs or Multicam. Hell, last week I bought a NVA strichtarn uniform for 10 USD !

$150 is enough for lasting, fault-free eye protection.

$150 won't even be enough for a good pair of boots and eyes. You NEED good boots if your outdoors. spend at least 80 and look for some with good ankle support.
And if you buy cheap eyewear then you will probably have problems with them fogging up. |

Get some reputable eye pro ($50+), a good set of boots ($100+) and a cheapo chestrig with attached pouches ($25). Wear with a pair of cargo pants and a collared shirt (or whatever you have) for a contractor look.
Most people don't stay long with their first setup so I wouldn't invest a lot on gear or BDU's until you have played for bit. Then you'll have a better Idea of what you want and it will be worth buying quality items. Until then just buy good essentials, they'll work with whatever setup you run now and future. |
